FILE TYPES
CORELDRAW
A vector graphics editing interface software.This format is great for screen printing. remember to convert your font to curves.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
Adobe illustrator is a graphic editing software. this file is great for screen printing. Remember to expand for fonts.
ENCAPSULATED POST SCRIPT
Commonly used for it's flexibility to be opened by most graphic programs. This is a great file type for screen printing.
SCALABLE VECTOR GRAPHICS
Used for it's versatility as an all purpose vector file. It's lack of compression allows it to open on most programs. This is a great file type for screen printing.
PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT
The most common and usable file type made. This file format is able to save vector formats as well as bitmap. This is a great file type for screen printing.
PHOTOSHOP DOCUMENT
File sizes tend to be large and could be difficult to send via email. recommended 300dpi resolution & CMYK color mode. This file type is great for screen printing.
TAGGED IMAGE FILE FORMAT
Similar to a JPEG but significantly larger, so if may be difficult to send via email. These files are not capable of the manipulation required to make screens, art fees will be added.
JOINT PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP
The most common raster file type. This file must be saved with high resolution to reduce pixelization. These files are not capable of the manipulation required to make screens, art fees will be added.
PORTABLE NETWORK GRAPHIC
.png was created to improve on the .gif intended for internet use.These files are not capable of the manipulation required to make screens, art fees will be added.
GRAPHIC INTERCHANGE FORMAT
.gif was intended for internet use so it allows transparent pixel. It only supports 256 colors and each pixel can either be transparent or 100% opaque, which usually leads to pixelization. These files are not capable of the manipulation required to make screens, art fees will be added.
DRAWING SHEET TEMPLATE
A .dst file contains instructions that tell the embroidery machine how to stitch a particular pattern. This file format is required for all embroidery projects, these files can't be resized or manipulated.
MICROSOFT OFFICE RASTER GRAPHICS
These programs are intended for word, calculation, or presentation, they usually only store the image files inside them in ways incompatible with most design software.These files are not capable of the manipulation required to make screens, art fees will be added.
